President Of PACE To Visit Armenia, Azerbaijan And Georgia

Prime-News was told about that at Tbilisi Representation of Council of Europe.

The President of PACE will complete his visit to countries of South Caucasus on July 10.

Rene van der Linden will hold meetings with the governmental officials, representatives of political parties and NGOs of the aforementioned countries.

The issues related to fulfillment of assumed responsibilities will be probably discussed at the meetings.

The journalists were told at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation that the meeting between Sergey Shamba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of de facto Abkhazia, and the representative of the government of Moscow was held. The sides discussed perspectives of possible cooperation.

Boris Silaev, Deputy Chairman of Department on International Relations of government of Moscow, and Larisa Konkina, Advisor of Department on International Relations, participated in the meeting.

Pikria Chikhradze declared at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia on Tuesday that people have fears to lose jobs, to be detained illegally, to be confiscated of property, to die from hunger, but people now are afraid of meetings, as detentions are frequently carried out during the meetings today.

The officers of Constitutional Security Department had detained employees of Kutaisi City Hall. They are accused of misappropriation of GEL 600 000.

The organizers of two-day conference are Fredric Ebert Foundation and GEPLAC.

The representatives of the Georgian government, official representatives of the European Union take part in the conference. Dimitri Sanakoev, Head of Tbilisi-loyal South Ossetian Provisional Administration, has delivered a speech on the conference.

Georgia and the European Union signed action plan of European Neighborhood Policy in October 2006.

The action plan covers strategic directions of Georgia-EU cooperation.

Tbilisi. October 16 (Prime-News) – Tina Burjaliani, First Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia, met the delegation of governmental institutions of Poland headed by the Head of Prime-Minister’s Chancellery Mr. Jacob Skiba.

Prime-News was told at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia that membership of the delegation consists of various governmental institutions of Poland; among them is the Head of Administration of the Ministry of Justice of Poland Mr. Tomas Bulova.

The delegation arrived to Georgia on October 14. The main goal of the visit is extending the relations between Georgian and Polish governmental institutions and planning the future collaboration.

On today’s meeting the head of Administration of Ministry of Justice of Poland talked bout the role and functions of the Ministry of Justice of his country. According to the statement of Tina Burjaliani sharing the experience of Polish colleagues is important for the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, she expressed hope that the collaboration will be productive in this field.

Tbilisi. October 17 (Prime-News) – Due to rehabilitation works at electricity distribution network several districts of Tbilisi will not be supplied with electricity on October 17.

Prime-News was told at electricity distributing Company “Telasi” that Chughureti district: Tsinadzgvrishvili, Toidze, Gorki, Javakhishvili and nearby streets will not be supplied with electricity from 10:00 till 17:00 on Wednesday.

Electricity will not be supplied to Mtatsminda district: Barnovi, Gogebashvili, Petriashvili, Kekelidze and nearby streets from 11:00 till 15:00 on October 17.

Population of Chugureti district: Tevdore Mgvdlis, Ninoshvili, Gogoli and nearby streets will not be supplied with electricity from 10:00 till 18:00 on Wednesday.
