Some Districts Of Tbilisi Not To Be Supplied With Electricity

Prime-News was told at electricity distributing Company “Telasi” about that.

According to the Company, Vake district: Chavchavadze Avenue (partially), Gamsakhurdia Avenue (partially), Paliashvili, Mtskheta, Atheni, Barnov and nearby streets will not be supplied with electricity from 11:00 till 15:00 on October 11.

Electricity will not be supplied to Matatsminda district: Rustaveli Avenue (partially), Laghidze, Athoneli, Tabukashvili and nearby streets from 10:00 till 17:00 on Thursday.

Electricity will not be also supplied to Chughureti district: Aghmashenebeli (partially), Tsinamdzghvrishvili, Chitaia, Javakhishvili and nearby streets from 10:00 till 17:00 on Thursday.

Tbilisi. October 11 (Prime-News) – The Orthodox Church of Georgia is preparing for celebration of the 140th anniversary of establishment of Djvari Monastery and the 30th anniversary of enthronement of the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II.

Prime-News was told at the Patriarchy of Georgia that these celebrations would be held throughout Georgia.

The celebration is dated to Svetistskhovloba on October 14. Representatives of Orthodox Churches will visit Georgia on October 12-16.

The guests will attend conference dedicated to Svetistskhoveli monastery and celebrations regarding anniversary of enthronement of the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II.

Tbilisi. October 11 (Prime-News) – Davit Chantladze, Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia, will visit Racha-Lechkhumi and Svaneti region on Thursday, where together with Otar Siradze, President’s Envoy, will hold meetings with local population.

Prime-News was told at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia that the minister would get acquainted with the problems related to forestry sector on spot and would inform the population with new conditions of wood provision.

Davit Chantladze will inspect the provision of the population with wood as well as organizations financed from the state budget.

The Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia will meet with owners of licenses of Sochi cones and local population employed in the aforementioned sector in the village Tlughi.

Tbilisi. October 11 (Prime-News) – 52 deaf refugees living in Zugdidi will be granted hearing aids on Thursday.

The project is implemented by the Ministry of Labour, Public Health and Social Affairs of the autonomous republic Abkhazia, Union of deaf people of Georgia and a group of Swedish doctors.

According to Dalila Khorava, Minister of Labour, Public Health and Social Affairs of the autonomous republic Abkhazia, the hearing aids have been produced by the Swedish party and granted to Georgia.

Tbilisi. October 12 (Prime-News) – Star of Georgian actress Sophiko Chiaureli will be opened in front of Kote Marjanishvili State Teatre on October 17.

Prime-News was told at Kote Marjanishvili State Theater that a jubilee evening dedicated to the actress would be held on stage of the Theater before the opening ceremony. Representatives of Georgian theatre, cinema and culture will attend the event.

Sophiko Chiaureli has played a large number of roles on the state of Kote Marjanishvili State Teatre.

Tbilisi. October 12 (Prime-News) – A new school was built in the village Didi Djikhaishi in Samtredia region in a result of cooperation between the private business and the state.

The school is built by a Construction Company “Module”.

Prime-News was told ay the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia that the new school, which has 200 pupils, was allocated school inventory and computers within the frameworks of the program “Iakob Gogebashvili”.

Alexander Lomaia, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia will open the school on Friday.

The minister will meet teachers of local schools.

Tbilisi. October 12 (Prime-News) – Judges will undergo training on regional and universal documents in human rights protection in Bakuriani Hotel “Viktoria” on October 12-14.

Prime-News was told at the UNDP that Tea Kasradze, coordinator of the program “Support of court reform”, would open the event.

Aim of the training is to enhance skills and professional level of judges, harmonization of local legislature with the international documents on human rights protection and introduction of precedent of European court in Georgia.

The training is held within the frameworks of the project “Support of court system”, implemented by the Supreme Court of Georgia and the UNDP.

Participants of the training are judges of different instances from different regions.
