Water Supply Restricted To Some Districts Of Tbilisi

Tbilisi. October 03 (Prime-News) – The water supply is restricted to some parts of Tbilisi population due to prophylactic works on October 03.

Prime-News was told at the Company “Tbilisi Water” that Vazha-Pshavela IV, V and VI blocks would not be supplied with water from 11:00 to 24:00 on Wednesday.

Population of Kazbegi Avenue, Kipshidze, Tamarashvili and nearby streets will not be supplied with water on Wednesday.

Blind People Demand To Use Municipal Transport Free Of Charge

Tbilisi. October 03 (Prime-News) – Blind people, living in Tbilisi, held a protest action in front of Tbilisi City Administration today with the demand to use municipal transport free of charge.

Participants of the action accused the government of negligence towards them and noted that there are special programs that sponsor their free transportation.

Participants of the action told Prime-News that they appealed with this demand to David Meskhishvili, deputy Minister of Labour, Public Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.

Representatives of the Ministry told them that issue of transportation is considered by Tbilisi City Administration.

Protestors claim that they will launch a hunger strike if their demands are ignored.

There are 3 600 blinds residing in Tbilisi.

Main Goal Of Tbilisi Development Strategy Is To Create New Vacancies

Tbilisi. October 04 (Prime-News) – Tbilisi City Hall held the presentation of Tbilisi Economic Development Strategy at the Hotel Courtyard Marriott on Thursday.

The strategy was elaborated with the support of Romanian, U.S. and Polish experts within the World Bank project and the financial support of Georgian Municipal Development Foundation.

The plan envisages the implementation of projects and programs that are necessary for achieving goals set by city administration. The strategy includes projects – Tbilisi -Regional Gate; Time for Business in Tbilisi; Tbilisi – attractive place to live in; Tbilisi-a Hospitable City and Tbilisi residents – power of the city.

Gigi Ugulava, Tbilisi City Mayor, admitted that the main goal of the aforementioned plan was to create new vacancies. “To create new vacancies are the demand of the society. We develop infrastructure and the increase of the private investments is vivid in Georgia,” stated Ugulava.

Gigi Ugulava To Open Rest Moll On Vazha-Pshavela Avenue On Friday

 

Tbilisi. October 12 (Prime-News) – Gigi Ugulava, Tbilisi City Mayor, will open a rest moll on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue on Friday.

Prime-News was told at Tbilisi City Hall that the illegally built garages have been dismantled on the aforementioned territory, it has been asphalted, plants have been planted, merry-go rounds have been installed for children and playground for street ball have been constructed.

Tbilisi City Mayor will meet with local population.

Policed Seized One Kilo Of Heroine

Tbilisi. October 16 (Prime-News) – The officers of the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have seized an extremely large quantity of heroine and detained two women accused of drug dealing.

Prime-News was told at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia that the police arrested the members of organized group: Rakhila Mamedova – D.o.B.: 1971 and Mameli Danelia – D.o.B.: 1962. Approximately one kg of Heroin drug – ready for distribution – was seized from their houses and during their personal search.

Investigation is underway by the Criminal Police Department.
